inspired by peter broderick's project "numbers" "an open field" is both a sound poem as an experiment about possibilites and freedom in re-reading and new-understanding of text, picture and sound.

a field

a windy autumn morning

beside it:
trees in a row

a crow
flying through the empty grey sky

landing
on a naked cool branch
and making itself comfortable

the crow
is sitting there
for a while,
staring into the landscape.

a wide and empty landscape.
only a few other trees.
a hill far away.

the bird is sitting on the branch
still for a time,
maybe thinking.
then: flying away.
